Direct Debit Payments
Monthly memberships are paid by direct debit. Although classes run term time only, payments are
calculated across the academic year and spread evenly over 12 months. This keeps monthly
payments consistent and predictable while covering the full cost of term-time training.
CMAA Membership & Licensing
The CMAA licence is an official training record book and membership card required for all students training under the Cobra Martial Arts Association. It confirms each student’s affiliation with the CMAA and records their progress throughout their martial arts journey.
A CMAA licence includes:
- Official CMAA membership
- Personal training insurance
- Access to belt gradings & progression
- Student record book & membership card
- Instructor signatures & achievement tracking
The licence ensures:
- Students train under recognised national standards
- Good practice and safeguarding policies are followed
- Insurance cover during training
- Access to CMAA training pathways and future instructor programmes
The CMAA also provides support to instructors and clubs regarding safeguarding, health & safety, and administration — helping ensure a safe, structured and professional training environment for all members.
A licence is required from the 4th training session to continue.
We will guide you through the quick registration process when you’re ready — nothing to do before your trial session.

🥋 CMAA Licence & Student Oath
All CMAA-registered students agree to the CMAA Student Oath when receiving their licence.
The oath reinforces the values of martial arts, including:
- Respect for instructors, training partners, and others
- Discipline, effort, and positive behaviour
- Using martial arts only for self-defence and protection, never aggression
- Representing the club and association with integrity
The full oath is contained within the CMAA student licence book, and we review it with students as part of their training and development.
